As July comes to an end, finish out strong with a race or two! The adidas Runners City Night is the main event happening in Berlin this week; however, if you are travelling out of Berlin, there are still lots of races to participate in!
From long distances to shorter road runs, read below to find out more information about upcoming races, our campaign with Plan A for the Adidas Runners City Night, and information about the Racemappr App.
The time has finally arrived for the adidas Runners City Night! This will be the biggest race happening in Berlin this week. The 5k distance option is fully booked. You can still participate in late registration for the 10km race on the 27th (from 10am-7:30pm) and on the 28th (from 10am-4pm).
The 18th annual Schwarzwassertallauf Pobershau is a local half marathon that offers registration until race day! The warm weather and green scenery makes it an enjoyable race for all the runners. This is a great challenge for anyone looking to participate in a long distance event for the summer!
Fact: Frankfurt is where the Barmer Women’s Run started. This event has been known to draw thousands of participants each year. You have the option to do either the 8km run/walk or the 5km run/walk. Don’t miss out on experiencing one of Frankfurt’s most alluring routes.
As a component of their summer festival, The Sports Club SV Schwindegg hosts its annual road race: the Schlosslauf. The distances offered are 11.9km, 5.25km run/walk, and a 0.5km and 1.0km for kids. The event provides awards for all 1st place participants according to age category.
The Mehrsetter Crosslauf offers distances for runners of all ages! There is the 500m Bambini run for children. There are two student runs, one that is 1.3km and one that is 2.0km. For the main run, the event offers both a 6.8km and a 10.3km race. Come out and enjoy a race that provides picturesque views of meadows, forest, and a field!
Reminder: Racemappr is participating in the Adidas Runners City Night 2018 with PlanA, the first knowledge and donation platform solely dedicated to climate change.
Racemappr and PlanA are launching our joint campaign “Un-fantastic Plastic” for this event. We will be dressed in plastic costumes made by ourselves from recycled plastic or plastic waste for the run, and we will host training runs, clean-up runs, a pfand-raising, and publish educational social media content during the lead-up to the race. Racemappr and PlanA would like to invite all of you to join us with the run and the campaign. There is still time to register on the 27th or the 28th! Let’s make a difference together!
