It’s another week of big Berlin races! As September approaches, why not kick it off with a race? We have information for five upcoming events.
From half marathons, triathlons, and a summer run, read below to find your race. Registration is still possible for all events!
This is the half marathon event that you do not want to miss! The Mercedes Benz Half Marathon offers not only the half marathon as a distance, but also a 10km race for people who are not quite up to finishing a half marathon. Register online prior to the race or register on site at the event on the 2nd! During registration, you will also have the chance to order a polo shirt that displays the Mercedes benz logo.
Experience a triathlon right in the city of Berlin via the Berlinman 2018. The race offers two triathlon distances. There is the jedermenschdistanz (“every man’s distance”), which is a 0.7km swim, 24km bike, and a 5km run. The main event is the mitteldistanz, which is a 2.2km swim, 90km bike, and a 20km run. Registration is possible online.
The youth and family center “ClaB” is hosting their annual 13th Sommerlauf. It offers a 4.8km run and an 8.1km for participants. There’s also a 900m run for children and families. This is an afternoon race, so no need to worry about waking up early! All finishers will receive a medal and the top finishers from the 8.1km will receive trophies.
The Dahlewitzer Waldcross is not a road race. The route actually takes runners on a route strictly through forest floors and roads and through the Blankenfelde Park! Participants can choose from three distances: 4.5km run/walk, 9.0km run, and an 18.0km run. Students run for 1 Euro! The event accepts late registration until race day. Post race, there will be free drinks and fruit along with award certificates. Don’t miss out on this scenic experience.
To all long distance runners, find a friend, make a team, and do this race! This is known as the half marathon relay race in the heart of Potsdam. The route is composed of 5 stretches (each runner will do 4,2195km). There are about 750 runners total and over 1,000 spectators for this event. The race starts at night, which makes it that much more enjoyable to see the city. The event encourages online registration; however, you can register late up until 6p.m. on August 29th.
Get out there and experience Berlin with a race!
