List of Alternative Running Events during summer 2017 - London

What is behind "alternative" running events?
Some of them involve mud or a lot of colourful paints, others are about fancy dresses and costumes, but all of them are exciting, fun and differ from standard running races. So why not to challenge yourself and your friends with something new?

 

Thames Path Potter – SaturdaySunday, 10-11 June
Are you a real Harry Potter Fan? Then Thames Path Potter is a perfect event for you and your friends. You can complete one lap of the course along the beautiful river Thames or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 6 hours. The overall course has no elevation gain / loss making this a flat and fast route. So dig out your cloaks, hats and magic wands and come for a magical run.


Color Obstacle Rush - Saturday, 10th of June

This race is the most fun run on Earth! After 5k course with 20 diverse fun obstacles and 8 color stations, you will have an opportunity to practice your skills and have fun in a 'past time zone' on a bouncy castle, listen to the music and enjoy a sno-cone! 
Don`t miss the most memorable, fun and colourful run of your life.



Pretty Muddy Race for Life (Female only) – Saturday, 24 June
It's a muddy obstacle course that women of any ability can climb over, crawl under, and charge through. Choose from either 5k or 10k courses. The series of events are raising money for research into all 200 types of cancer. You can enter the race individually or as a group, so bring your friends and family and have fun for a good cause.


The Gauntlet Games – Saturday, July 29
Those games are wild and wonderful activities for family members with different fitness abilities. There is no time limit, and the many Gladiator Zones allow you to take a breather while you wait your turn. You can choose from a 5k or a 10k option, and after the race you can enjoy catering, kids and post-party zones for adults and families. Perfect choice to spend time with your family.

 

London Rat Race – Saturday, August 12

Are you ready to swim, crawl, jump, slide and laugh your way around the wettest obstacle race in the UK? Be one of the 1000’s of RatRacers who tackle over 35 obstacles including 50ft water slides, giant inflatables and the biggest water jump in any UK race. This is a totally unique challenge in London’s Docklands achievable by anyone with a sense of adventure and a sense of humour, join with your friends!

Wild Forest Jam - Monday, August 28
Explore the wild trails and unique training facilities in Wild Forest Gym. Whether you want to get fit or to develop some serious OCR skills this is where you can train and have fun whilst opening up your senses. The course is fast and technical with 68 obstacles over 2.7k. You can also bring your kids and take part in the Family Mega Fun Mud Jump Course with 36 Jumps & loads of mud & water jumps.
