The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Detroit Auto Show, and the Friends of the Outdoor Adventure Center collaborate to host the Auto Show 5K. This event takes place along the Detroit Riverfront, with the start and finish outside the Detroit Auto Show doors. All proceeds support updating exhibits at the Outdoor Adventure Center. Discounted tickets to the Detroit Auto Show are available through the 5K event. Participants can collect packets both the day before and on race day. Awards will be presented to champions of each age group. Karl Zimmermann anticipates another successful community run.
