Join Fairfield Parks & Recreation for our Annual Beach Bunny 5K!
We are excited to invite you and your loved ones to participate in Fairfield Parks & Recreation's "Beach Bunny" 5K. Run, walk, skip, hop. It doesn't matter. We want you to get out, have fun, get moving, enjoy the outdoors and, most of all, share the experience with us, your friends and family!
IMPORTANT DATES & EVENT TIMES
- January 1st : Registration Opens
- January 31st: Last day of Early Bird Registration Fee
- March 28th : Guaranteed shirt sizing ends March 28th. After this date, "As Available" and we could run out.
- April 7th - April 11th: T-Shirt & Bib Pickup at Fairfield Parks & Recreation 9:00am - 4:00pm
- April 10th: T-Shirt & Bib Pickup at Fairfield Parks & Recreation 10:00am - 6:00pm
- April 12th: Event Day & Bib Pick Up
- 8:00am Bib Pickup for the 5K
- 8:45am Introduction & National Anthem
- 9:00am Start of Beach Bunny 5K
- 10:15am Start of Bunny Hop
- 10:50am Children's Easter Egg Scramble (children 5 & younger)
- 10:55am Children's Easter Egg Scramble (children 6 & older)
EVENT FEES
BEACH BUNNY 5K ALL PARTICIPANTS 1/1/25 - 1/31/25 $30
2/1/25 - 4/12/25 $35
The Beach Bunny 5K is a 5K, 3.1mi distance, computer chip-timed event. Participants of all abilities are welcome to run or walk this event. Registration fee includes Computer Chipped-Bib.
FAMILY BUNNY HOP ALL PARTICIPANTS 1/1/25 - 4/12/25 FREE
The Bunny Hop is a free, family-friendly walk; just under 1mile in length. It is not timed and registration does not include a T-Shirt or bib. This .8mi walk is perfect for the entire family (including your four-legged family members!)! Costumes encouraged! Let's see those Bunny Ears!
EASTER EGG SCRAMBLES ALL PARTICIPANTS 1/1/25 - 4/12/25 FREE
The children's Easter Egg Scrambles are free community events taking place on Jennings Beach. Parents, please take note: The Easter Egg Scramble for children 5 & younger starts at 10:50am sharp! The Easter Egg Scramble for children 6 & older starts at 10:55am sharp! Please note this event is BYOB (Bring your own Basket!)
PARKING
Complimentary Parking is located onsite at Jennings Beach 880 South Benson Road, Fairfield CT 06824. Please note, there is no parking along the J4 - J6 Fenceline (also known as the "dog leg"). If you prefer to stay further removed from the festivities, you can always park at Penfield Pavilion Complex (323 Fairfield Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824) or the Ash Creek Open Space Parking Lot (471 Turney Road, Fairfield CT 06824) and walk over. Arrive early! We expect lots to fill!
