Join us in the heart of Amiens on March 22, 2025, as we kick off the Amiens Urban Trail! 🏃♂️ The race will both start and finish at the iconic citadel in Amiens, with the walking event commencing at 1:50 PM, followed by the running event at 3:00 PM. This is not just a race; it's an adventure for everyone—seasoned runners, eager beginners, and enthusiastic walkers alike!
Worried about the chills? 🥶 Be prepared for the brisk temperatures typical of winter in the north—layer up with your thermal shirt, jacket, hat, and gloves! Your health is important, so while a medical certificate isn't mandatory, it's highly advised to ensure you're in good shape to tackle this stunning course.
The 9 km route will remain a delightful mystery until right before race day, but rest assured, the charm of Amiens will not disappoint! Expect to be enchanted by its rich cultural heritage, including the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest medieval cathedral in the world! 🏰
Running through the picturesque neighborhoods, you'll discover why Amiens is nicknamed The Little Venice of the North. 🌊 Explore the floating gardens and take in the beauty of the canals that define this lovely city. After your race, unwind in the renowned Saint-Leu district, known for its lively atmosphere and charming terraces—perfect for enjoying a drink and celebrating your accomplishment! 🍹
As you lace up your shoes, remember: you'll have a maximum of 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the course, so plan accordingly! Refreshment stations will be available to keep you fueled along the way, and be aware that running inside designated buildings is prohibited—those who violate this rule may face disqualification. Nonetheless, the vibrant atmosphere awaits you, complete with live tunes from several musical bands throughout the event! 🎶
For those eager to take part, registration fees are set at €10 for adults during the first phase and €10 for children under 16 years old. Don't forget to pick up your race bib at designated locations in Amiens on February 8 & 9, or directly on race day at the start location.
