About
Run, walk, honor, and hope – the 8th Annual Summer Smith 5k Addiction Awareness Memorial Run is more than just a race; it's a powerful movement to stop the stigma. Remember Summer Smith, a brave soul who valiantly fought addiction, as we gather on May 11th, 2024, at Guilderland High School to make strides toward recovery and awareness. Starting at 10 am, everyone is welcome – children, dogs, runners, and walkers – to take part in this heartfelt event, kicking off with a special Memory Ceremony at 9:00 am. Embrace the spirit of giving as proceeds go to vital resources in the community, including education, prevention, support for women in recovery, and assisting our furry friends with special needs. Stand with us as we spark conversations, fuel hope, and save lives through this annual tribute to Summer and many others affected by addiction. Join the race, share the message, and be a beacon of change! 🏃♀️💜
