The Family Life Center will be hosting its 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Life! This race is challenging with great competition and you will love the course scenery on the General Dacey Trail at Forest Park! Please help us make this race a huge success and allow us to continue to provide education, parenting classes, ultrasounds and help to young families in the area.

Schedule of Events:
- Packet Pickup - Thursday, April 24, 2025 – 1:00pm – 4:30pm at Family Life Center, 225 E South 1st St, Shelbyville, IL 62565
- Saturday, April 26, 2025
- 7:00 – 7:45 am: Late Registration and Packet Pick Up
- 8:00 am: 5K Run/Walk Start
- 9:30 am: Awards for 1st place in each age group will be awarded
Registration Fees:
5K- $25 per person or $75/family of 5
Race shirt not included after April 14th – small quantities available for purchase on race day
Registration includes race entry, T-shirt*, packet, bib, and timed chip. Rain or shine, no refunds.

Race Packet Pick-up: Packet pick-up will be located at Family Life Center, 225 E South 1st St, Shelbyville, IL 62565 on Thursday: 1pm - 430pm or At Dacey Trail, E North 9th Street, Shelbyville IL 62565 on Saturday: 7:00am - 7:45am
Course: The 5K Run/Walk for Life starts at the Forest Park entrance of the Dacey Trail. This race is challenging with great competition and you will love the course scenery on the General Dacey Trail! Please be advised that portions of the course will remain open to traffic.
Timing: Bib timing will be provided by Kinetic Timing. You must pick up your official race bib at the designated packet pick-up time. Please attach the official bib to the front of your shirt prior to the race. If you do not have a bib, you will not be timed.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each age group and must be claimed at the event. The age groups are as follows:
- 19 and Under
- 20 - 35
- 35 - 50
- 51 - 65
- 65 and Over
Parking: Free parking is available in Forest Park north and east of the ball fields near the entrance of the Dacey Trail. Signs will be posted.
